Respite Care

Our respite care services provide short-term support away from home, offering meaningful experiences for participants while giving families and carers a chance to rest and recharge.

What is Respite Care?

Respite care offers temporary support for participants, either for a short stay or a planned break. It’s designed to support wellbeing, routine, and enjoyment, while also giving families and carers time away from the responsibilities of daily care.

Respite Experiences Across Tasmania

Our respite care often includes short camping trips or sightseeing stays across Tasmania. These experiences are planned with the participant’s needs, interests, and comfort in mind, allowing them to enjoy new environments, time outdoors, and shared experiences in a supportive setting.

Benefits for Participants and Families

Respite care can support improved quality of life for participants by offering new experiences and a change of pace. At the same time, it provides families and carers with the reassurance that their loved one is being supported while they take time to rest and recharge.
