National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is an Australian Government program that provides funding for people with permanent and significant disability. It’s designed to support independence, choice, and quality of life through personalised support.

Totally Inclusive Support Services is a registered NDIS provider, delivering supports that meet NDIS standards while staying focused on the people we support.

What is the NDIS?

Am I Eligible?

The NDIS provides funding for a range of supports that help people live their everyday lives and work towards their goals. This can include support at home, help to get out into the community, skill-building, and respite for families and carers.

Each participant has an individual plan that reflects their needs, goals, and circumstances. Plans are reviewed regularly to make sure supports remain appropriate as life changes.

The NDIS is available to people who meet specific eligibility requirements, including age, residency, and disability-related criteria. Eligibility is based on how a person’s disability affects their daily life, rather than on a medical diagnosis alone.

Your Rights and Responsibilities

The NDIS is built around choice, control, and respect. Participants have the right to be treated fairly, make decisions about their supports, and receive services that are safe and appropriate.

Alongside these rights, there are also responsibilities — such as using funding appropriately and engaging with providers respectfully.

Using Your NDIS Plan

Applying for the NDIS and Getting Support

Once you have an NDIS plan, you can choose how your supports are delivered and who provides them. Plans can be self-managed, plan-managed, or NDIA-managed, depending on what works best for you.

Understanding how to use your plan can make a big difference in getting the most from your supports.

More about using your NDIS plan

Applying for the NDIS involves submitting an access request and providing information about your disability and support needs. The process can feel complex at times, especially if you’re new to the NDIS, but clear guidance is available through the official NDIS website.

Once you have a plan, we can support you to understand your options and make the most of your funding. As a registered NDIS provider, we deliver supports in line with NDIS guidelines, with care shaped around your goals and everyday life.
